DENTAL IMPLANTS

The natural-looking solution for missing teeth.

What are Dental Implants and how do they work?

A dental implant is a prosthetic replacement of the root of a missing tooth. Replacing the tooth’s root gives longer-term stability, resulting in halting natural bone loss and increasing future treatment potential. They serve as a foundation for attaching a crown, bridge, or denture to replace the missing tooth or teeth.

How long do Dental Implants last?

Dental implants can last a lifetime with proper care. They are a permanent fix to replace missing teeth.

Am I eligible for dental implants?

Dental implants are an ideal solution for patients who want to replace missing teeth due to gum disease or injury. They offer a permanent, comfortable and more natural-looking alternative to traditional dentures.

Are dental implants painful?

The dental implant procedure is typically performed under local anaesthesia, so discomfort during the procedure is minimal. Some soreness and swelling may be expected after the surgery, but pain is usually manageable with over-the-counter pain medication.

WHAT TO EXPECTMaking your treatment
easy & comfortable

1
Consultation & Assessment
In your FREE consultation, we will assess you and try to understand your goals and concerns. Whether a dental implant will suit your needs will start to become clear at this point. However, further tests may be needed to confirm this such as a CBCT scan.
2
plan
Once your dentist has performed the assessment and received the reports back from any tests requested, they will provide an estimated time frame for the treatment and present you with all expected costs. Your appointments will be booked.
3
Treatment
We’ll determine the best position for your implant using the latest digital technology (3D scan). You will be given local anaesthetic before the titanium “root” is placed into your jaw.
4
finish
It will take approximately 2 to 3 months for your implant to fuse correctly to the bone. We will fit a temporary tooth while your dental implant is healing and fix your permanent tooth in place when we’re happy that you’re fully healed. We provide a full aftercare service and will give you plenty of advice on how to look after your implant in the months and years to come!
